Day 1: Arrival & Tea Garden Experience

Important Note for July Travel:

Kaziranga National Park is largely **closed for safaris (jeep and elephant) from May to October** due to heavy monsoon flooding. Animals migrate to higher ground. This itinerary focuses on accessible areas around the park and nearby attractions during the monsoon season. Expect heavy rainfall, high humidity, and potential for waterlogging and road delays. Carry waterproof essentials.

Arrival & Travel to Kaziranga
Arrive at Jorhat Airport (JRH) or Guwahati Airport (GAU). From Jorhat, it's a shorter drive. From Guwahati, it's a longer journey. Hire a taxi or arrange for a pick-up to your accommodation in Kaziranga.

Travel: Taxi (approx. ₹2500-₹4000 from Jorhat, ₹4000-₹6000 from Guwahati)

Time: 2-3 hours (from Jorhat), 5-6 hours (from Guwahati)
