Day 1: Barnawapara - Arrival & Sanctuary Introduction

Arrival at Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary & Check-in
Arrive at Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary. It's best to arrange a private taxi from Raipur or Mahasamund. Check into your forest rest house or resort. Be aware that July is monsoon, so roads within the sanctuary might be muddy, and some areas might be inaccessible. Safari operations might be limited or suspended; confirm in advance.

Travel: Taxi (approx. 2-3 hours from Raipur)

Settle In
Nature Walk (if permitted/safe) or Visitor Center
If forest officials permit and conditions are safe, take a short nature walk around your accommodation within the sanctuary. Alternatively, visit the sanctuary's visitor center to learn about the local flora and fauna.
